Building Extra Circle – Pushing the Zine Further

A few weeks ago, we introduced Extra Circle as a space for poetry, art, and photography—where form bends, meaning glitches, and the unseen takes shape. Since then, the zine has been evolving beyond just a concept, taking on a more interactive and immersive form.

From Framework to Experience

We started with a style framework—a foundation for the zine’s tone, structure, and aesthetic. But Extra Circle was never meant to be just a static collection of works. It’s a digestible, unfolding experience, something that invites readers to move through it, feel it, and even shape it.

Now, the focus is on pushing the next level of design and interaction:

Typography as experience – Dynamic poetry layouts, floating text, and glitch-driven distortions.
Seamless navigation flow – Moving beyond traditional TOCs to an intuitive, exploratory structure.
Theme-driven visual layers – Background shifts, motion elements, and evolving aesthetics per issue.
Interactive UI concepts – Play zones, experimental inputs, and unpredictable moments of engagement.

The Figma Phase

Right now, the zine is moving from code into Figma, where we’re mapping out the final visual and interactive structure. This step lets us refine how poetry, photography, and art coexist, ensuring that every issue is its own contained world.

Expect something that feels alive.

A space where meaning bends.
Where art, words, and images don’t just sit on a page but respond.
A zine that glitches, breathes, and reveals itself as you move through it.

This is where Extra Circle is heading.

Stay close. More soon.
